What you are paying for
A private guide can adjust pace, explain the entry, carry flotation and help a small party stay oriented. Some products also include edited video or a larger photo set. Those benefits matter more than a generic “private” label.
Ask whether the guide is dedicated only to your party, where the tour enters the water, how long is actually spent snorkeling and what happens if conditions are unsuitable.

Compare the total for your party
Most private shore products advertise a per-person starting price. Private boat charters often publish one group total. Calculate the same party size before deciding which is better value, and check taxes, transport and media delivery.
A low headline price can still be a poor fit when swimming confidence is required or the tour is only one hour. The best choice is the one whose pace, support and entry match your group.
Private does not mean guaranteed wildlife
No guide can schedule a wild turtle. Be cautious with guarantee language and ask for the written conditions before booking. A responsible guide should prioritize distance, surface access and local water conditions over getting a close-up.
Aruba Turtle Guide does not operate these tours or process payment. Confirm the meeting point, requirements, cancellation rules and final price with the operator or marketplace.
