Who writes and edits the guide
Aruba Turtle Guide was created by Tommy, the site’s author and editor, an SDI Divemaster and an AIDA Freediving Instructor. He has two years of snorkeling experience in the Maldives and a year and a half of daily snorkeling with sea turtles in Aruba. The route notes and practical tips are based on personal visits to Boca Catalina and Tres Trapi—not secondhand summaries.
Unless a separate credit is shown, all location photographs and route observations on this guide are Tommy’s own. Read his full author profile and field-note approach.
What the guide brings together
Aruba Turtle Guide combines a sunrise-relative field strategy for Boca Catalina and Tres Trapi, practical water-entry and route descriptions, and a deduplicated comparison of shore, boat, private and small-group tours.
High-resolution shoreline and aerial images help visitors recognize the entry before arriving. Timing and route notes are observations, not guarantees about wild animals or changing sea conditions.
How the comparison works
The same operator experience is treated as one tour even when it appears on several marketplaces. Prices and review counts are timestamped, the source of each rating is named, conflicting listing details are flagged, and unrated tours are not given invented scores.
Recommendations are not paid placements. Clearly labeled Viator booking links may earn the site a commission and are disclosed before the relevant links, but compensation does not determine scores, wording or rankings.
What the guide is not
Aruba Turtle Guide does not operate tours, take payments, guarantee wildlife sightings or replace personal judgment about open-water conditions. Always verify current details with the operator or marketplace and follow local signs and instructions.
How firsthand notes are labeled
Route directions, entry photographs and recurring timing windows are presented as field notes, with the latest relevant check shown on the page. They are kept separate from biological facts and official safety guidance, which link to their external sources.
The Tres Trapi parking setup and water entry were last checked in person on September 10, 2026.
